Heather Banner Kane, an attorney and Legal Content Director at TOPDOG Legal Marketing, LLC, has earned two of the top digital marketing certifications in the US: Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) and Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) in Digital Marketing.
These certifications are granted by two authorities in the marketing industry, the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) and the American Marketing Association (AMA), respectively. The extensive coursework required to earn the CDMP and PCM credentials included training in online advertising, analytics, social media, content marketing, search engine optimization, email marketing, website optimization, and digital marketing strategy.
Certification as a CDMP and PCM also required Kane to pass a proxied examination, and she will participate in continuing education to maintain the credentials. The skills and insights gained through this and ongoing coursework will benefit TOPDOG’s lawyer digital marketing clients across the US.
Kane received her law degree from the Indiana University (IU) Maurer School of Law and has been licensed to practice law in Indiana for more than 25 years. Before joining the team at TOPDOG Legal Marketing, she worked in private legal practice, an appellate judicial clerkship, and as a court staff attorney. Kane’s experience also includes teaching research and writing at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis and working in the publishing industry for LexisNexis and Pearson Education.
