Marketer and author, Seth Godin writes today, “New years remind us that we might need a better strategy. A philosophy of becoming, a clear vision on where we’re going (and why).”
Problem is, per Seth, “Creating change is difficult, and it’s hard to do it alone.”
Godin is organizing a community of practice, I’m likely to join, a group of people engaging online to move forward on their respective change.
I’ve always liked Seth’s down to earth approach on life and marketing, rooted in simplicity, authenticity, and connection. Of course, I also relate that he too has built a name through blogging.
Seth got me thinking that legal blogging to create name is hard to do alone. Real hard.
LexBlog and I need to create a purposeful blogging cohort—a community where legal professionals come together to define the “why” behind their blogs and translate that purpose into meaningful action.
Through collaboration, insights, and accountability, this cohort will help colleagues not only clarify their goals but also achieve them, building stronger names and practices in the process.
I’ll gather some ideas from Seth’s community. I welcome your thoughts as well.
To a year with a vision.
