I am here with more than 1300 of my colleagues in legal marketing and business development for the 2025 Legal Marketing Association Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. This year is very special to us because it is LMA’s 40th anniversary. The theme the board of directors and conference committee has chosen summarizes how the association feels about what LMA does for its members:
“40RWARD: Proud Legacy. Exciting Future.”
Each year, we come together as legal marketers, business development professionals, service providers, and content creators to learn, network, and elevate the legal marketing profession so that we can help our clients, law firms and lawyers, serve their clients in the best possible way. As always, I’ll be curating insights live and after the event right here.

The Most Important Thing I Can Share With You This Year
As I began planning for this year’s conference, the theme took on even greater significance for me, extending beyond LMA’s 40th anniversary celebration. There is a lot going on right now, in our firms and in the world.
This is a moment to reflect on who we are as legal marketers, as professionals, as advocates, as businesspeople, and yes, as superheroes.
Our work is about more than tactics.
That’s why the commemorative button I’ve created this year honors every one of us who shows up with courage, clarity, and consistency. Whether you are navigating firm politics, driving strategic growth, or simply advocating for what is right inside your organization:
You are a superhero.
My Message To All LMA Members: I Am Here For You
