Can You Collect Social Security Disability, Workers' Compensation, and a VCF Award at the Same Time?

Yes, you can collect Social Security Disability, workers’ compensation, and a VCF award at the same time. The VCF rules recognize that many people receive disability determinations from the Social Security Administration (SSA), a workers’ compensation system, short- or long-term disability, a pension system, or another disability system. A disability finding from one of these entities can often support a claim for past and future lost earnings and benefits if the disabling condition matches the eligible 9/11-related condition.
