Resolution 4179 of 2025, issued by Colombia’s Ministry of Labor, establishes a new national labor inspection model called “An Inspection With Purpose” (Una Inspección con Propósito). This reform transforms labor inspection into an active tool for the protection of human rights, incorporating mandatory differential approaches across gender, disability, ethnicity, life stage, and protection against violence and discrimination. The model introduces unannounced visits, immediate preventive measures, and prioritization of high-risk sectors and situations, with the objective of reinforcing compliance with the 2025 Labor Reform (Law 2466 of 2025) and promoting inclusive and safe work environments.
