Our regular readers may remember our previous posts (here, here and here) on upcoming changes to the Employment Standards Act. Soon, some of these changes will be coming into effect.

On May 20, 2015:

  • Employers must provide all existing employees with the most recent copy of the Ministry of Labour’s employment standards poster within 30 days.
  • Employers must provide all new employees with the most recent copy of the poster within 30 days of the employee’s commencement.
  • Employers may be required by employment standards officers to conduct self-audits to determine compliance with the Act or regulations and to report on the results.

If you have any questions about the changes, please feel free to contact our office for assistance.
